BIOGRAPHY

I come to this practice with 10 years of clinical experience as a National Certified Respiratory Therapist working in Washington, D.C. at the Children’s National Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center as well as the INOVA-Mt. Vernon Hospital of Alexandria, Virginia. I am a licensed massage therapist in the states of Virginia (#0019000454) and Florida (Ma53868) and a Registered Craniosacral Therapist #00056. For many years I have taught human anatomy and psychology in professional training programs.

I experienced further exploration into deep somatic healing through the Potomac Massage Therapy Institute and am a member of the National Certification Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker (NCTMB).

My study of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy was completed in 1999, when I earned status as a Registered Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner practicing Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Applying tools from the original osteopathic model of Dr. William Sutherland, My passion is introducing Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy to my clients as well as their nervous systems.

The primary focus of my cranial expertise includes examining chronic pain manifested throughout the body; attachment problems resulting in trauma held in the body; children and adults suffering from focus and concentration withdraw; and a desire to become more present to self.

I have assisted in the teaching of a craniosacral foundation course with energy medicine consultant Roger Gilchrist, M.A., R.P.P., RCST®. His website describes the course work pursued in the cranial degree. Such a fusion of diverse therapy methods enables my overall practice to integrate energy medicine into Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
